We recently asked several Fandom communties -- including this one! -- to submit questions for director Fede Alvarez and the cast of The Girl in the Spider's Web. Check out the video!
I'd argue not every horror movie is equally suited for a scary Halloween watching. I like horror movies year round, but particularly around Halloween, I like my scary movies ... well, a little cliched and campy (that doesn't mean they shouldn't be good!).
That time of year, I want to see werewolves, vampires, haunted houses, exorcisms, jump scares. The rest of the year, I'm more into psychological thrillers with plot twists and more nuance.
What's your favorite Halloween-compatible movie, and why?
One that I recently watched for the first time and really liked is The Conjuring. It has great set and costume design, really sucks you in to empathize with those characters, and it has the right amount of scary stereotypes, done really well (witches, satanic rituals, haunts, exorcisms, etc.).
Can't wait to hear your favorites!
