Chapter 1
Richard closes the door at his station, he was tired from checking passports all day that he wanted to get home. He got in his car and began to start it up, “Crap.... looks like imma have to walk home, and then bring a gas tank to fill it up tomorrow morning,” He said.
The country he lived in was not very secure so someone needed to work a border job, it was also unfair, people lost jobs because of being from another country. When he arrived at his front door and saw an eviction notice. It was his third one this month, he had to shrug it off and pay it another day. He then heard a howling in the distant, he lived on the edge of the biggest forest in the country. It has always creeped people out and even creeped Richard out at times. He had heard story’s of beast and monsters, and had even heard wailing in the forest during the middle of the night.
He wanted to move but his job stopped him from doing so, he can’t get paid enough. He laid in bed and turned on his TV and cut off his lamp, as he closed his eyes he fell into a deep sleep. All was quiet until around 12:00, a wolf pack began howling and barking, Richard was woken up immediately and heard something growling back at them, pregames a bear, but after that one low group from what he thought was a bear came a wine from one of the wolves, then two, then three. Richard knew a bear would not just attack wolves, especially in a pack.
Soon he heard a loud bang against his window, he turned and saw the head of a wolf. He jumped and said quietly, “A bear couldn’t do that! What could it be!” He quickly turned and thought not to look at it, when he woke up the next day the head was gone, nothing but blood on his window.
