Adrien Brody is an American actor. He received widespread recognition and acclaim after starring in Roman Polanski's The Pianist (2002), for which he won the Academy Award for Best Actor at age 29, the only actor under 30 to do so. Brody is also the only American actor to receive the French César Award.
In the horror genre he is most known for his participation in Predators as Royce.

Adrien Brody was born on April 14, 1973 in Woodhaven in the New York City borough of Queens. His mother Sylvia Plachy, was a Jewish Hungarian photographer while his father Elliot Brody, was a retired Catholic history professor and painter.
