Alton "Hatch" Hatcher is a character in Storm of the Century.
Biography[]
Hatch was a friend of Mike Anderson and was his lieutenant in police activities regarding Little Tall. He helped him in the arrest of Linoge, but, like Mike Anderson, he failed in stopping him because of his tremendous powers.
At the end, he, like the town, decided to give in to Linoge´s demand of wanting a child from them and Ralph Anderson was taken away because of it. His daughter Pippa is not chosen for Linoge. Mike Anderson´s son, however, is.
Mike Anderson broke with him and the town after that forever because of it. His wife died later of a heart attack because of it, too. He later married Molly Anderson, whom Mike divorced for the same reason, because of common grief. He raises his daughter with Molly.
