Amber is one of the protagonists of the 2015 horror-thriller film Green Room. She is a regular patron of a neo-nazi music bar with a tragic past who is best friends with Emily. However, when she witnesses Emily killed back-stage, Amber fears she is next but bands with punk rockl band Ain't Right to try and escape the dire situation she finds herself in.
She was portrayed by Imogen Poots.
Backstory[]
At some point in her past, she was "mugged once and raped twice" which instilled prejudice in her that prompted her to frequent the neo-nazi bar with her friend Emily.
History[]
Amber is at the skinhead partying with her friend Emily in the crowd as punk band Ain't Right start their set. Amber and Emily are shepherded out of the crowd and backstage, where Emily is stabbed in the head by Werm, a member of the regularly performing band Cowcatcher, after they found out she wanted to run away and leave the skinhead group.
Amber stands in terror, horrified by the death of her friend when Pat from Ain't Right accidentally walks in. Amber yells at him to call the police and he runs away but he and his band are captured and forced into the Green Room with Amber and Emily's body. Big Justin guards the door and locks it from the inside, holding a gun. The group scramble to figure out their next move when the skinhead leader and owner of the bar Darcy arrives, talking to them through the door.
He tries to convince them that the cops are coming but Amber, knowing better, tells them he's lying and they'll never just let them leave. She helps the group overpower Big Justin and Amber steals his box-cutter to use as a weapon, which she uses to slash his stomach open and killing him. They then discover underneath the floorboards, a heroin lab and create makeshift weapons to fight back.
They attempt to make a run for it when they find out the skinheads are outside. They each take a weapon and leave but are ambushed by attack dogs, who kill Tiger. The dog comes for Amber and is biting at her leg when Pat points a microphone to the speaker and causes feedback which causes the dog to flee. Sam, Pat and Amber flee back to the green room. Daniel, Emily's lover, is sent in to kill the group - having been made to think Ain't Right killed her.
Amber tells him the truth, that the skinheads killed Emily which convinces Daniel to betray the group as he was going to run away with Emily. Now with insider information, they try to make a run for it again but Daniel is shot in the face and killed. They take the shotgun from the skinhead and try to leave out the exit. An attack dog kills Sam and Pat and Amber head back to the green room.
They feel defeated but Pat inspires Amber to fight back with everything they have and they come up with a plan. Two skinheads and the attack dog are sent in to finish off the remaining survivors. They use sound feedback again to force the dog away and Pat and Amber kill the men, with Amber slashing one in the throat and shooting the other in the head. They encounter bar manager Gabe cleaning up the mess and take him hostage.
As they leave into the woods, Pat wants to go get revenge for his friends and Amber agrees to go with him, while Gabe promises he is giving himself into the police and leaves to hand himself in. Amber and Pat intercept a skinhead goon and the dog trainer and hold them at gunpoint. They see the dead Ain't Right band members laying on the floor as the skinheads attempted to forge a fake crime scene to pin everything on them.
Darcy arrives and Amber shoots the two goons. While distracted, Darcy tries to flee but is shot and killed by Pat. Amber and Pat sit down to rest and see the attack dog coming back, Amber gets ready to shoot but the dog walks right by them and sits beside it's now-dead owner. They then wait for the authorities to arrive.
