Arnold Alois Schwarzenegger (born July 30, 1947) is an Austrian-American actor, filmmaker, businessman, author, philanthropist, activist, politician, and former professional bodybuilder and powerlifter. He also served as the 38th Governor of California, from 2003 to 2011.

Schwarzenegger is widely considered to be one of the greatest bodybuilders of all-time, as well as the sport's most charismatic ambassador. He also gained worldwide fame as a Hollywood action film icon.

In 1968 Arnold Schwarzenegger emigrated to the United States. There Schwarzenegger became a naturalized U.S. citizen on September 17, 1983. Shortly before he gained his citizenship, he asked the Austrian authorities for the right to keep his Austrian citizenship, as Austria does not usually allow dual citizenship. His request was granted, and he retained his Austrian citizenship.

On April 26, 1986, Schwarzenegger married Shriver in Hyannis, Massachusetts. They have four children. On May 9, 2011, Shriver and Schwarzenegger ended their relationship after 25 years of marriage because of an affair he had.

One of his greatest movie successes was the main role he played in the science fiction action horror movie Predator, a movie that created a franchise.
