Sir Ben Kingsley is an English actor. He portrayed Xavier Fitch in Species (1995), Sweeney Todd in The Tale of Sweeney Todd (1998), Benjamin O'Ryan in Suspect Zero (2004), Kagan in BloodRayne (2005), and Silas Lamb in Stonehearst Asylum (2014).

In 1982, Ben Kingsley portrayed Mahatma Gandhi in Gandhi (with Martin Sheen, and Richard Griffiths), for which he won an Academy Award for Best Actor.
In 1991, he portrayed Meyer Lansky in Bugsy (with Harvey Keitel), for which he was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor. In 1993, he portrayed Vice President Gary Nance in Dave (with Sigourney Weaver, Frank Langella, Ving Rhames, Charles Grodin, and Arnold Schwarzenegger). In 1995, he portrayed Xavier Fitch in Species (with Michael Madsen, Natasha Henstridge, Michelle Williams, and Frank Welker). In 1998, he portrayed Sweeney Todd in The Tale of Sweeney Todd.
