Betsy Palmer (November 1, 1926 – May 29, 2015) was an American actress, best known for having portrayed Pamela Voorhees, the mother of the later star Jason Voorhees in the first two films of Friday the 13th. In the first film, she was the main killer and simply appeared as a hallucination of Jason's mind.
On May 29, 2015, Palmer died in Danbury, Connecticut at the age of 88.
