Canada is the second-largest country by area and the 38th most populous, with over 37 million residents and at 9.9 million square kilometers. The country features ten provinces and three territories. Canada's capital city is Ottowa, and the largest city is Toronto, with over 2 million inhabitants.
Before Canada was colonized by Europeans, it was populated by several Indigenous tribes a thousand years ago.
