Dr. Casey Bracket was portrayed by Olivia de Munn in the film The Predator.
Biography[]
Casey is an evolutionary biologist hired by Project Stargazer, a secret government organization destined to deal with Predators, to check on a Predator that was captured and held captive in its installations. Before that they give her a history about them and their visits to Earth from others through Sean Keyes, one of their employees.
Its head, Will Traeger, personally introduces her later to a captured creature once having reached their place, something she looks forward to. She is fascinates by the captured Predator, while she is also told by Traeger that she was hired, because they detected human DNA in it and want to know why.
Once the alien escapes, killing many on its way out, the alien does not kill her while doing that despite of the fact that he could have. Later, at the request of Sean Keyes, a member of Stargazer, she then begins to hunt the escaped alien with the purpose of catching it with the help of a tranquilizer. She fails despite of her best efforts and ends up being unconscious when she accidentally receoves the tranquilizer dart herself.
After that she ends up with The Loonies, a group of ex military outcasts who were nearby and witnessed much of it, and Quinn McKenna, who knew about what was going on, and because of Traeger's later decision to kill her in order to maintain the secret ince she had acted openly despite of the fact that she didn't like the Loonies very much because of their crazy tendencies.
Later they all go on the hunt for the escaped creature after that by going to McKenna's son, who has his equipment through his father and later they go on the hunt for the second, more dangerous Predator, who later killed the first one before them. By taking samples of them, she discovers, that the Predators are evolving and using human DNA and other DNA for that.
When Traeger later captures her and McKenna because of the Predator's equipment they want to have, Traeger informs her, that the first Predator came to Earth in order to help humanity against the Predators, who are making plans to take over the planet, by giving them an effective device for that. Aftter that he gives the order to kill her, but she manages to escape in time with help.
Later she goes with the Loonies to fight the upgraded Predator and stop Traeger's intention to kill them and abuse McKenna's son for the project, by using him to get into the first Predator's ship. They free him, but then are atttacked by the upgraded Predator, who also destroys the ship, which forces all to unite against him.
They succeed in killing this Predator and neutralise his ship who was nearby, but only she, Quinn McKenna, who also joined The Loonies, and his son, who this Predator intended to kidnap because he valued his abilities that enabled him to decode Predator technology, survive the deadly fight. After that they honor The Loonies' deaths for what they have done, which she also does grudgingly.
