Chelan Lauren Simmons (born October 30, 1982) is an Canadian actress and model. She made her official film debut in It (1990) as Laurie Anne Winterbarger. Since then she has appeared as a child star and later as a grown-up. She also played an important role in the tv-remake of Carrie (2002). Due to Simmons' many roles in the horror genre since then, such as the television films Snakehead Terror and Chupacabra: Dark Seas, she is considered a modern-day scream queen.
