Creature with the Blue Hand is a 1967 horror film directed by Alfred Vohrer and starring Harald Leipnitz and Klaus Kinski.
Plot[]
Dave Emerson, one of four sons of the American escaped criminal Earl of Emerson, is on trial for the murder of gardener Edward Amery. With a report from the mental health doctor Dave is sent to Mangrove's asylum for "complete insanity" indefinitely.
A little later, a stranger helps Dave to escape from this clinic. A nurse is murdered under mysterious circumstances. A warden and a guard dog who were pursuing Dave on his escape to his parents' castle Gentry are killed by a hooded figure wielding a blue iron hand. Other murders also happen this way and Scotland Yard realises that Dave Emerson, who has a twin brother called Richard Emerson, is not the killer.
Now Scotland Yard is after this homicidal maniac, who is now called The Blue Hand, which is what he uses to continue to kill his victims. His main target is Dave's family while trying to clarify the circumstances surrounding Dave Emerson's wrongful confinement in the asylum.
