History[]
Background[]
Wayne was the father of both Ethan and Quinn, and after becoming a high-ranked officer and detective, he used the police to find evidence for the Ghostface attacks, only to build a shrine for Richie. However, Richie died at the hands of Samantha, who stopped him from publishing a requel and killing her and her allies.
Wayne as a result of this vowed to get his revenge on Samantha and whoever crossed paths with her or allied her in her journey. Under his orders, Quinn published a blog to incriminate Samantha and push the blame onto her instead of Richie.
Scream VI[]
After Jason Carvey killed his professor Laura Crane, Wayne then snucked into Jason's apartment and killed his roommate, Greg Bruckner. Then, he waited for Jason to comeback. Quinn called Jason using Greg's phone. After Wayne, synchronized with Quinn lead Jason towards the door of his house, Wayne stabbed Jason.
Wayne then phoned Sam and Tara on the street, telling them in his Ghostface voice that he shall ruin their reputation and then kill them and whoever crosses paths with them or allies with them on their journey. Ghostface (presumed to be Ethan) stalks after the two sisters wearing the Ghostface suit and he tries to kill them inside a supermarket, killing a few customers and then taking a gun from the shop's owner, almost killing both Sam and Tara before they escape.
Wayne then asked Samantha and Tara Carpenter to meet him at the police station, as he pretends to be an innocent investigator who wants to solve the Ghostface mysteries once and for all and aid Sam and Tara in their goals. He is also introduced during their conversation to Kirby Reed, who now works at the FBI and she offers him assistance to solve the Ghostface conspiracy.
In order to avoid raising suspicion at this stage, Wayne sends Ethan to seemingly kill his daughter Quinn, and swapped her body infront of the police with another body which looks similar. He was then informed by Kirby about a shrine which she found, and Bailey pretended that he didn't know anything about this, seemingly investigating the place and the activity inside it. It was also shown that Jason sprayed his name and some Ghostface graffiti inside the shrine.
Inside the place, the team found all the items and masks of the Ghostface wearers. Wayne then sends Sam and Tara to track the Ghostface at the city park. However, they do not know that he was speaking to them on the phone all this time, following them from behind, and all this happens while Quinn is secretly accompanying him, as she actually faked her death to avoid being suspected by the FBI.
Wayne then tries to lore the Carpenters into a death trap, but they both steal his vehicle and drive to Gale Weather's house. Bailey then sends Quinn to kill Gale. She wounds her, but she cowardly runs off when Sam and Tara come and protect her. Wayne then tells the heroes to travel in public transport towards the shrine, so they can surround and kill the Ghostface killers. Ethan and Quinn then stab both Chad and Mindy, before Ethan pretends to take care of them as he is planning to kill them later.
Wayne then phones Sam once again, warning her that Kirby is the killer and she was fired due to mental disabilities from the FBI. However, that was a lie to move Kirby out of his own way. While Sam and Tara try run out of the place, they are cornered by two ghostfaces as Kirby and Bailey point guns at each other. Kirby remarks that Bailey is the mastermind. Bailey then shoots her and seemingly manages to kill her. He then reveals himself to be Ghostface 1# as the other two were Ethan and Quinn. The trio were from Richie's family and they wanted to avenge his death and finish the requel at all costs. He traced all evidence to frame Sam for the entire incident, Quinn befriended Tara and faked her death to get off of suspicion, and Ethan did most of the dirty work, helping around while being part of the heroic inner circle to avoid suspicion. The three were going to kill Sam in the most painful way to avenge Richie, with Wayne leading the latter.
Sam and Tara kill Quinn, injure Ethan and Wayne pushes Sam as a final act of terror off the rooftop, as he falls into a glass tank. He then goes to kill Sam and Tara, but Sam phones him and plays on him the infamous Ghostface tricks, as he is lored into a room where Sam stabs him at least 40 times. She pretends to spare him, and he thanks her out of self awareness, but she then peels off his eyes, as he falls to his death.
