Edward "Eddie" Breckner is a character in the movie The Blob. He is played by child actor Douglas Emerson.
Biography
He is 10 years old and best friends alongside Kevin Penny. They both go to the cinema the night The Blob came to see a slasher movie by smuggling themselves in with the help of Eddie's older brother who works there. They did it against their mother's will.
During the screening The Blob came and began to devour people at the cinema. Because of the theat he, Kevin and Megan, who realised they were there and came in the nick of time to help them, fled to the sewers in an attempt to escape him.
They only succeeded temporarily. After that they fled to the sewers with the Blob in pursuit. There Megan and Kevin were able to save themselves, but Eddie was taken by The Blob there and devoured.
