I Know What You Did Last Summer is a 2025 American slasher film directed by Jennifer Kaytin Robinson and written by Leah McKendrick.[1]
Premise[]
When five friends inadvertently cause a deadly car accident, they cover up their involvement and make a pact to keep it a secret rather than face the consequences. A year later, their past comes back to haunt them and they’re forced to confront a horrifying truth: someone knows what they did last summer…and is hell-bent on revenge. As one by one the friends are stalked by a killer, they discover this has happened before, and they turn to two survivors of the legendary Southport Massacre of 1997 for help.[2]

On September 4, 2024, it was announced that Camila Mendes had exited the film.[7] On September 6, 2024, it was announced that Chase Sui Wonders was in talks to join the film.[8] On September 23, 2024, it was reported that Freddie Prinze Jr. had officially joined the cast of the film, returning as Ray Bronson.[9] In October 2024, it was reported that Billy Campbell had joined the cast.[6] In November, it was reported that Nicholas Alexander Chavez, Gabbriette, Austin Nichols, and Lola Tung, had joined the cast.[5] On December 13, 2024, it was announced that Jennifer Love Hewitt was set to return as Julie James.[4]
