Joseph Leonard Gordon-Levitt is an American actor, director, musician, producer, and writer. He portrayed James "Jimmy" Howell in Halloween H20: 20 Years Later (1998).
In television, he portrayed Daniel Collins / David Collins in Dark Shadows (1991) and Zach in The Outer Limits (2000).

In 2010, he portrayed Arthur in Inception (with Leonardo DiCaprio, Cillian Murphy, and Michael Caine). In 2012, he portrayed Robin "John" Blake in The Dark Knight Rises (with Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman, Matthew Modine, Liam Neeson, Cillian Murphy, and Desmond Harrington), and Robert Todd Lincoln in Lincoln (with Adam Driver, Hal Holbrook, and Jackie Earle Haley). In 2013, he portrayed Jon "Don Jon" Martello Jr. in Don Jon (with Scarlett Johansson, Julianne Moore, Brie Larson), which he also directed and wrote. In 2017, he voiced Slowen Lo in Star Wars: Episode VIII – The Last Jedi (with Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, Lupita Nyong'o, Benicio del Toro, and Tom Kane).
