She is a local girl, who is friends with Jake Forrester. During Spring Break, she goes with Jake and the others to the boat at Lake Victoria. There she witnesses the activities of Derrick.
Later, when the piranhas attack the boat which begins to sink because of an accident, she becomes trapped below and is on the verge of being eaten by the piranhas. However, Jake manages to save her life by luring them away for a while and, together, they later escape the piranhas unharmed, who are then killed through a detonation underwater orchestrated by Jake.
They both develop feelings for each other during the event.
