Linda Denise Blair (born January 22, 1959) was the actress who portrayed Regan Teresa MacNeil in both The Exorcist, and its first sequel, Exorcist II: The Heretic, the only two films of The Exorcist Saga which feature Regan.
Linda Blair has been praised all over the world for her portrayal as young Regan MacNeil in The Exorcist, for which most of her performance she portrayed the Demon who possessed Regan, Pazuzu.
She supplied most, if not all of the dialogue for Pazuzu, but had to be re-dubbed by Mercedes McCambridge for an other-worldly, masculine vocalization.
Linda Blair was nominated for her performance as Regan MacNeil/Pazuzu in 1974, one of the most electrifying, hair-raising, sensational, and controversial performances in all of Cinema.
Linda satirized her previous performance as the possessed Regan in Repossessed.
