Lupita Amondi Nyong'o (born March 1, 1983) is a Kenyan and Mexican actress and author. She portrayed Miss Audrey Caroline in Little Monsters (2019), Adelaide Wilson / Red in Us (2019), and Sam in A Quiet Place: Day One (2024).
She is also known for her role as Maz Kanata in Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens (2015), Star Wars: Episode VIII – The Last Jedi (2017), and Star Wars: Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker (2019).
