Megan Jane "Meg" Penny is one of the main protagonists and is played by Shawnee Smith in the film The Blob.
Biography[]
She dates a boyfriend and during that event they stumble at night upon an old man with something strange in his hand and Brian Flagg. They take the old man to the hospital and there Brian leaves them. She is the first one to witness The Blob killing a human, her boyfriend, in front of her after it killed that man. No one believes her.
She goes to Brian Flagg and tells him what happened. They investigate the matter, while the Blob tries to kill them later. They go to the place where Brian first found the man and discover a fully equipped government unit. They report to them what happened. She is later taken by force back to the town, while Brian escapes.
She is rescued by Brian later, when The Blob is about to kill her and together they manage to defeat The Blob later by freezing him, when they found out, that he can be defeated by coldness. After that they, together with others, put him into the ice house of the town.
She is one of the few survivors alongside her little brother Kevin Penny and boyfriend Brian Flagg. It is implied that Brian is from now on her boyfriend.
