Detective Lieutenant Mike Harrigan is the protagonist of Predator 2. He was played by Danny Glover.
Biography[]
He was an officer with the Los Angeles Police Department and head of a small team at the Alvarado Precinct during the gang wars of 1997, when it was hot. His investigation of severe gang violence led him to cross paths with that of a Predator in the city hunting the same gangs for sport.
He sees him in his stealth mode and thinks he is hallucinationg because of the hot summer. He realises by investigating the deaths, that something strange is going on. Federals then begin and take the investigation away from her.
Later the Predator also began to kill policemen. Especially after the death of an inferior of his, Danny Archuleta, he became determined to stop him he finds out through evidence the perpetrator has extraterrestial weapons. Later he finds out from the federal government, who is also acting, he was fighting an alien like the one that was defeated in 1987 in Central America. He later fought and defeated the Predator after he took out most of the government agents, who wanted to catch him in order to gain his weaponry and technology for their own gains and failed. He was able to do that, because he realised in time they were going to fail and took advantage of it. He also manages to prevent it from activating the self-destruct mechanism saving part of Los Angeles from the following destruction, too.
After his death the Predator, who terrorized the city was then taken away by other Predators who suddenly appeared. They don´t kill him and, before they go, one of them gave him an antique pistol from the year 1715 to him in recognition for his hunting skills regarding what he has done before going away, too, showing that the Predators had been on Earth at least that long ago already.
After that he saw how the Predators went away from the planet with a spaceship. He is later criticized by a surviving federal for not having taken the Predator alive before the federal goes away. He, however, has a feeling that they will return one day and says that to himself before being surrounded by local police.
