Oscar Bowers is a minor character in from the It book, written by Stephen King and the It (2017) film. He is Henry Bowers' father, and an officer at the Derry Police Department. Oscar is portrayed by Stuart Hughes.

Oscar Bowers is a very abusive man, and it's shown mainly in his relationship with his son, Henry, who has a murderous hatred of him.
Appearances[]
Oscar Bowers first appears to help Betty Ripsom's mother in searching for her missing daughter. Then, when his son Henry and his friends proceed to bully Bill and his friends, he gives him a stern look that says "Leave them alone, son."
Much later, when Henry is about to shoot a cat, just for fun, he stops him, asking what he's up to. Henry lies, saying that he was just cleaning his gun; Oscar doesn't buy it, and shoots at the ground near Henry's feet to teach him a lesson. As he's sleeping in his chair, Pennywise on the tv tells Henry to kill him and Henry presses the switchblade on his neck and activates the blade. He does his best to resist as Henry pushes the knife deeper into his neck, though bleeds to death. In Chapter Two, Oscar's partners arrest Henry for murdering Butch.
