Paige is one of the protagonists of the supernatural horror film Tarot (2024). She is a rich girl and self-professed control freak who prides herself on taking care of her best friends. However, when they accidentally use a cursed tarot deck, they find themselves picked off one-by-one by a vengeful force.
She was portrayed by Avantika.
History[]
Paige organises a trip to the Catskills to celebrate her girlfriend Elise's birthday and rents a large house for her and their friends for the weekend. After running out of beer, they search through the house for more and come across a locked room. Lucas breaks inside and they discover a room full of artefacts, one of them being a deck of hand-painted tarot cards in a wooden box. The group begs Haley to read their fortune and she agrees.
Haley tells Paige to be careful of "The Magicians bag of tricks that will prevent her from seeing clearly", and Paige is a little freaked out. The next day, Paige drives them all home and later that night, talks with Elise on the phone. Elise is distracted by something in her home and goes to seek it out. Paige calls Elise back shortly after but she doesn't pick up. By morning, news of Elise's "accidental" death spreads and a tearful Paige is seen mourning her.
She breaks down, questioning what she could have done to save Elise but Haley tells her you can't escape fate and that she shouldn't blame herself. Paige is slightly calmed by their heart-to-heart. However, when Lucas is also killed in a freak accident, Haley pieces together that her tarot readings could be coming true. The friends go to visit Alma, a woman who was in a similar situation and has been tracking the tarot deck for years. She tells them about a vengeful Astrologer who has cursed the cards and brings death to those who use them.
While driving home, Madeline is killed in-front of her friends. Paige, Grant and Haley decide to destroy the cards after Paige finds an article online that says burning them could end the curse. Paige books the house again and find the deck of cards. Unfortunately, the cards are immune to the flames and they call Alma for help. Alma summons the Astrologer who violently kills her and sets her sights on the others.
Paige is separated from Haley and Grant and finds herself trapped in the basement. She is ambushed by The Magician who uses his tricks to temporarily disrupt her vision and trap her in a box. An audience of spirits watch as The Magician uses a saw to cut through the middle of the box and straight through Paige's torso, Haley and Grant hear her screams as Paigeher nin succumbs to injuries and dies.
