Patrick Hockstetter is a minor character in from the It book, written by Stephen King, and the 2017 film. He is portrayed by Owen Teague.
Patrick is one of Henry Bowers' friends and the second on-screen victim of Pennywise.
Background[]
On the last day of school in 1989, Patrick, Henry, and Belch Huggins bully Bill Denbrough and his friends Richie Tozier, Eddie Kaspbrak, and Stanley Uris. Patrick throws Stanley's hat into an open bus window, while Henry threatens Bill, and Belch burbs in Eddie's face. After getting a stern look from Henry's father, the three of them along with Victor Criss, who was preparing the car, drive away.
The next day, the four bullies attack Ben Hanscom, who just exited the library. Patrick threatens to light Ben's hair on fire, but Henry decides the best thing to do is carve his own name into Ben's stomach with a switchblade. Henry manages to get the H in Ben, before he escapes, and runs into the barrens. Henry loses his knife when chasing after Ben, so the group decides to split up, with Henry and Victor looking for the knife, and Patrick and Belch chasing Ben. The group becomes even more divided after Patrick and Belch split up, so they can cover more ground.
Unaware that Ben has already been rescued by Bill's group, Patrick hears a noise coming from the sewer, and thinks it's Ben. He decides to go into the sewer, lighting his way with a makeshift flamethrower. He's getting far into the sewer when he sees a hoard of zombies. Terrified, Patrick runs, dropping his flamethrower, but gets lost and runs into a dead end. He turns around to see if the zombies are coming, but all he sees is a red balloon, growing bigger and bigger. The balloon pops, revealing Pennywise, who charges at Patrick. With nowhere to run, he's killed by the clown.
