Pierson is a minor character in the second installment of the Shark Attack series, Shark Attack 2. He works for television adventurer Roy Bishop.
He was played by Anton Vorster.
Character Development
Early Life
Not much is known about Pierson's life before the evens of Shark Attack 2. Sometime before the events of the film, he presumably joined television adventurer Roy Bishop as part of his team.
Events at Cape Town
In 2000, the mutant sharks from the previous film Shark Attack terrorise the costal town of Cape Town. Pierson and Bishop tease Nick Harris when the latter has difficulties with his vessel. When Bishop takes on the task of handling the situation, he takes his team (Hootie and Pierson) aboard his boat the Down Under and head out to sea.
When the trio are on the deck of the boat checking their diving and video equipment, Bishop announces a change in plans: they will film shots for his new documentary instead of killing the sharks. Hootie expresses concern over the safety of the situation, but his qualm is dismissed by Bishop. The three men then jump into their respective cages.

A lone shark emerges from the murky depths of the sea and circles the cages curiously. It cautiously approaches one of pieces of chum another member of Bishop's team had thrown into the water before eating it in a single gulp. With their underwater documentary cameras, Hootie and Pierson film Bishop's reactions to the shark. The two men are completely unaware of the other sharks of the mutant pack approach from behind. Bishop suddenly spots the newcomers and shout for them to look behind them.
Without warning, the sharks begin ramming Hootie and Pierson's cage. The two men are knocked about the cage, their equipment falling from their hands, swirling around them in the sudden chaos. They crash into the each other and the bars of the cage as the fierce onslaught continues. Bishop shouts for them to watch out for the sharks, but his voice is lost in the water.

"Get out! Get out of there!" —Bishop to the divers.
Pierson just manages to grab onto the sides of the cage, steadying himself as the thin bars of the shark cage continues to shake and shudder around him. The sharks' attacks begin to bend and twist the bars of the cage. Hootie can't find purchase on them and tumbles through the water, this torso getting tangled in the tubes of his diving gear.
A shark then slams headfirst into the cage. The cage shudders violently, sending Hootie reeling backwards uncontrollably. His upper body slips between two bent bars. He grabs onto the bars and tries to pull himself back into the cage but the force of shark's attack propels his torso out of the cage. Pierson grabs onto this waist and legs and tries to pull him back in.

"Help me! Please! Get me in!" —Hootie to Pierson.
Hootie only manages to barely cling on to the damaged bars of the cage. Another shark bangs against it. This time, Hootie's body slips from Pierson's grip and directly into the jaws of an oncoming shark. Pierson and Roy can only watch as it bites down on him and swims away, Hootie in its jaws, his legs flailing helplessly.

There is barely a breath before the sharks attack what remains of the cage, now only containing Pierson. A massive shark slams into the cage, its snout breathing the bars of the cage as it attempts to bite him. Cornered, and with no where to go but up, Pierson heads for the surface. Quickly, he rids himself of his diving gear and climbs over the edges of the cage, falling into the water of the open sea. Newman opens the Down Under's stern door and reaches out for Pierson, who's crying for him to get him out of the water.
Pierson swims towards the boat rapidly, Scar hot on his heels. Newman yells for him to swim for it. Pierson is nearly at the stern of the Down Under. Pierson reaches out to grasp Newman's outstretched hand, but momentarily turns to see if the shark is still behind him. This hesitation proved fatal. Before Newman managed to grasp firmly on Pierson's hand, Scar emerges from the water and bites Pierson. He screams, arms splashing in the water. Newman reaches for his hands but Pierson is quickly pulled under.
Roy, still in his cage, is unable to watch as Scar swims away from the cages. Only Pierson's head and left arm can be seen protruding from the shark's jaws, flailing in the water. It proceeds to devour the rest of the diver.
