Pinhead is the main antagonist in the Hellraiser universe.
Background
Pinhead is classified as "The Devil in human form".
He had no childhood, nor career except for the fact he is the overlord of Hell.
Hellraiser
Pinhead first debuted in the thriller Hellraiser. He was credited as the Lead Cenobite. He was merely just the leader of a group of an undead army struggling to open the "puzzlebox".
Hellbound
Pinhead's role in Hellbound: Hellraiser II was the same as his role in the first Hellraiser film. He was once again the lead cenobite, attempting to re-open the puzzlebox.
Hell on Earth
Finally, Pinhead gained a larger role in the Hellraiser universe with the release of Hellraiser III: Hell on Earth.
Pinhead was part of the traditional line-up of Hollywood thriller slashers (Jason Voorhees, Michael Myers, Freddy Krueger, etc, etc.)
