Private William Hudson was played by Bill Paxton in Aliens.

He is supremely confident about the abilty of the Marines to deal with threats. He is also the sensible one in the group. Vazquez and the seargeant don´t like him very much and Vazquez even compares him with a woman. He also has a tendency to panic. Still he is there when they need him and is loyal to the group.
He is also the combat technician of the group. He survives the first Xenomorph attack, when they enter their nest, an attack in which the aliens were victorious. He then begins to act hysterically because of all that happened regarding the Xenomorphs. Later, when they return to the compound he helps fortify it as part of a plan to deal with the aliens until they can leave the planet after Ripley calmed him down regarding his hysteria.
He shows ingenuity, when he rightly guesses, how the alien´s society works by comparing it with bees. He helps saving Ripley and Newt from Burke´s criminal actions. After that he thinks about killing him for that. However they are interrupted by the Xenomorphs, who enter the compound at that moment.
When the Xenomorphs attack, he fights them with ferocity until they take him away for breeding. He is presumably dead.
