Ready or Not is a Black-Comedy Horror film released in 2019 Directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tylar Gilet and is distributed by Radio Silence and Fox Searchlight. The movie stars Samara Weaving, Andie MacDowell, Henry Czerny, Adem Brody and Mark O'Brian. The Movie centers around Grace (Played by Weeving) on the day of her wedding prepared to marry the man of her dreams, Alex, (played by O'Brian) who is apart of the Le Domases Gaming family, who recurits the young bride in a fun ritual where she has to play a game to be apart of the family. But when Grace draws a card saying Hide and Seek all bets are off and Grace is forced to fight for her life in a deadly game of survival where she fights back and wages war with her monstrious In-laws.
The first trailer was released on June 17, 2019. The film had its world premiere at the Fantasia International Film Festival on July 27, 2019,[8] and was theatrically released in the United States on August 21, 2019, by Fox Searchlight Pictures, and in the United Kingdom on September 25, 2019, by 20th Century Fox.[9]
Ready or Not was released on Digital HD on November 26, 2019, and on DVD and Blu-ray on December 3.[10] The release includes a 42-minute making-of documentary, an audio commentary with star Samara Weaving, directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, and executive producer Chad Villella, as well as a photo gallery and a gag reel.[11]
Reception wise it was a hit with a 88% on Rotton Tomatos and a B+ Cinamascore. It was also a box office hit making a worldwide total of $57.6 Million all over the world.
