Richard Tiffany Gere is an American actor and producer. He portrayed John Klein in The Mothman Prophecies (2002).
Career[]
In 1982, Richard Gere portrayed Zack Mayo in An Officer and a Gentleman (with David Keith and Louis Gossett Jr.), for which he was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in a Motion Picture – Drama. In 1984, he portrayed Dixie Dwyer in The Cotton Club (with James Remar, Nicolas Cage, Laurence Fishburne, and Mark Margolis).
In 1990, he portrayed Edward Lewis in Pretty Woman (with Héctor Elizondo), for which he was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy. In 1997, he portrayed Declan Joseph Mulqueen in The Jackal (with Bruce Willis and Jack Black). In 1999, he portrayed Homer Eisenhower "Ike" Graham in Runaway Bride (with Héctor Elizondo, Donal Logue and Sela Ward).
In 2002, he portrayed John Klein in The Mothman Prophecies, and William "Billy" Flynn in Chicago, for which he won a Golden Globe Award for Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy. In 2004, he portrayed John Clark in Shall We Dance?. In 2007, he portrayed Billy the Kid / Bob Dylan in I'm Not There (with Christian Bale, Heath Ledger, Julianne Moore, Michelle Williams, and Kris Kristofferson).
