Rudy Grimes is a character from the 2002 slasher film Halloween: Resurrection. He is an aspiring chef and culinary arts student at Haddonfield University and best friends with Sara and Jen. The trio are chosen to take part in a web series which examines the home of Michael Myers, but the danger becomes very real when he comes back to cancel the show.
He was portrayed by Sean Patrick Thomas.
History[]
Rudy along with Jen, convinces their friend Sara to audition for Dangertainment, an online series set to explore the childhood home of Michael Myers and find out what made him into a serial killer. Rudy is obsessed with food and hopes to be a chef one day, he regularly talks and thinks about food and also wants fame from being on the show.
They all go to the producers of the show and are interviewed. Rudy thinks Michael Myers became a killer due to his poor diet and hopes to prove it after looking through his home. They arrive at the Myers' house, now abandoned and derelict and Rudy heads straight to the kitchen. He notices that the food and herbs seem fresh and aren't rotten like you'd assume. Suddenly, he hears Jen screaming and runs upstairs to help, but it turns out to be a prank.
Rudy also becomes suspicious at how easy it is to find Michael's childhood belongings as though everything had been intricately placed for them to find. Together with Sara, they encounter "Michael Myers" who turns out to be producer Freddie in disguise and he tells them that it's all staged for the show. They decided to quit the show, but are stopped by Jen screaming again. They witness the real Michael Myers decapitate her and try to escape, but the doors are locked.
Michael chases after them and goes after Sara. To give her a chance to escape, Rudy distracts him and Michael goes after Rudy instead. They are in the kitchen when Rudy grabs two kitchen knives to defend himself and starts swinging them around. Michael corners Rudy and overpowers him, lifting him in the air forcing the two knives in his own hands to plunge into his body. Michael takes another knife and stabs him in the chest, finally pinning him to the kitchen door.
He is later found by Sara who is horrified by the body of her friend.
