Willard Carroll Smith Jr. (born September 25, 1968), better known as Will Smith, is an American actor, comedian, rapper, producer and songwriter.

Will Smith was born Willard Carroll Smith Jr. in Philiadelphia, Pennsylvania on September 25, 1968, to an African American family. His father Willard Smith Sr., was a refrigeration engineer and a United States Air Force veteran while his mother Caroline (Bright) was a Philadelphia school board administrator.
